How to change the billing date on a recurring subscription?
Note: Expiring/contract length subscriptions cannot have their bill date changed.
Head to the payments dashboard and then search by wrestler or parent (using the 'Bill to') filter:
On the membership detail view, find the Change bill date button in the Edit column on the left:
When you change the billing date on a subscription you are also changing subsequent billing dates. E.g. if you change the billing date to the 3rd of the month for a monthly subscription, all future bills will happen on the 3rd of the month.
When would I use this?
The most common use cases for this are:
- A parent asks for their billing date to be moved by a couple of days so that it lines up better with their own payday.
- A more sophisticated 'pause' of a subscription. Our pause feature on subscriptions is more of an on/off switch where the billing system only charges the person if payments are not paused, but then kicks out the due date to the next billing period. In an example use case of a family on summer vacation, you could be crediting them too much by pausing them for a week. You could instead move the billing date on the subscription to restart as soon as they return from vacation.
- You are having a grand opening for your club and are having people pre-pay for your first month, but want to reset everyone's billing cycle to a specific date after that first month special is over.
