How do expirations and renewals work with expiring subscriptions?

When you set up your subscriptions in WIQ, you can opt to have them expire after a certain number of billing cycles. This is common for situations where you have tier based commitment lengths (i.e. 3 months for $x/month or 12 month commitment for $(x-discount)/month).

Renewal lifecycle

As the subscription expiration date approaches, WrestlingIQ automatically sends out renewal emails on your behalf. Specifically, WrestlingIQ will send out a renewal reminder email 14 days, 5 days, and 1 day before the subscription expires.

Here is an example of a renewal email:

When your customer clicks renew, they'll be taken to a screen that looks like this inside WrestlingIQ (the screenshot is a demo, your subscription prices/names will be shown):

If they elect to renew, their expiration date will be bumped out by the same level of commitment they originally signed up with. In other words, if they originally committed to 12 months of payments, the renewal is for an additional 12 months of payments.

Finally, both the customer and the team will receive emails notifying them of the renewal:

Expiration

If your customer does not renew their subscription, WrestlingIQ will expire their membership. The customer and the team will receive an email that looks like this:

This means they will not be charged anything else, they'll be removed from any rosters that are synced to that registration, and you should stop giving them access to your facility/practices until they sign up again.

If the member wants to sign up again, have them sign up from the beginning like a new member would—their information will be prefilled during the sign up process to make it quick.
