How to Raise Existing Membership Prices

How to raise membership prices

Deactivate current membership price(s)

This will ensure that no new members will sign up for the old membership price. Deactivating this price option will not effect any current members so if you are looking to maintain existing membership prices while raising future ones, simply stop after this step.

Add the new membership price(s)

Add a new payment option with the new price.

Transition existing memberships to the new price

Best practice: Make sure everyone on your team is aware of the change in price before you make this change to their accounts. Having everyone on the same page beforehand will make the price transition as smooth as possible.

Navigate to the registrant list for the membership you are raising prices on.

Select 'View Subscription' for the first membership.

Select 'Change subscription plan'

Select the new payment option. This is where unique naming of the payment option will be helpful!

Troubleshooting: if you are unable to select a payment option, it is likely because it is on a different payment cycle then the customers current membership. For example, if the customer is on a payment plan that is billed monthly, you will not be able to switch them to a payment option that is billed every 3 months. This is going to require the customer to reregister and approve the new payment frequency.
