Creating an online gear store
Running your team gear through WrestlingIQ streamlines all of your payments through one system. You can use any brands and any items that you want to sell to your team and download reports of what has been ordered to send directly to your gear fulfillment partner.
Step 1: Add Products
Products are added first so that information can be collected for each individual product before creating a store.
Step 2: Fill out product information
Enter information on the product including entering skus if they are known (i.e. from the manufacturer). Any reference images you have can be uploaded. Add-ons can be selected here (see step 3).
Step 3 (optional): Create add-ons
Examples of add-ons include: adding an option for a personalized name to a clothing item or bag, including a bag tag with the purchase of a bag, etc.
You will need to create the add-on first and then add it to the specific product(s) that you want it to apply to.
Step 4: Create a new online store
Step 5: Fill out store details and add products
Online stores can be set to close on specific dates. The contents of the store are also editable at any point.
Step 6: Let your store go live
A link that is specific to a store will be generated and appear underneath the store name. This link will direct individuals directly to the store so it should be used for distribution and advertisement purposes. There is an option to view orders under a specific store that updates as people place them.
Step 7: Run reports to get information on store sales
As orders roll in, running reports are an easy way to keep track of orders place and items order for when you need to pass information onto your gear fulfillment partner. There are two types of reports you can run on this information:
Store Order Summary is intended to be what you send to your gear fulfillment partner. It will give a count of how many items, in each size, you need ordered.
Store Detail Report is the one you should run when you hand out gear at practice. It will list order information by name.
What does it look like for customers?
Step 1: Access the store through the shared link
From the store specific link you provided, customers will first be directed to the main page of the store where they can view all of the products.
Step 2: Select products and add to cart
Customer can choose colors, sizes, and any add-ons that are offered.
Note: Store colors will change to match your teams brand colors (i.e. it won't be pink)
Step 3: View shopping cart
Customers have the option to modify or remove products before continuing to checkout.
Step 4: Checkout
Customers will input contact information, delivery methods, and billing information as they checkout. This information will all appear on the reports that you can choose to run. Note that there is an option for scholarship here if that is something that your team wants to offer.
